Resident, Western Infirmary, Glasgow, 1923; House Surgeon, Glasgow Eye Infirmary; Senior House Surgeon, Royal London Ophthalmic Hospital; in private practice in Glasgow, 1928-64; Assistant Surgeon [later Surgeon], Glasgow Ophthalmic Institution, 1931-64; Honorary Consulting Surgeon, Western Infirmary, Glasgow, 1941-64; Professor of Ophthalmology, Glasgow University, 1941-64; Dean of Medicine, 1946-47 and 1958-59. Retired: 1964, Aberdeen. Died: 1976, Austria.
