Administrative/Biographical History

William Wright Fulton was born in Larkhall, Lanarkshire in 1917. He was educated at Hamilton Academy; St Mungo’s College; and University of Glasgow. He studied medicine at St Mungo’s College, Glasgow, 1940-1945. Qualifications: LRCSE, LRCPE, LRFPSG, 1945; BSc, 1987. William Fulton was a General Practitioner in Glasgow from 1945; Medical Secretary, Glasgow Local Medical Committee, 1955-1974; member of Area Medical Committee, Glasgow, 1974-1984; Chair, Area Medical Committee, Glasgow, 1981-1983. Dr Fulton was active in British Medical Association and Royal College of General Practitioners. He was honoured with an OBE in 1977 and subsequently died in 1998.
