Administrative/Biographical History

The Argyll and Clyde Health Board was created in 1974. It was responsible for the delivery of services in Argyll, Inverclyde, Renfrew and West Dunbartonshire (except Clydebank). The Board was dissolved in 2005 when responsibility for Inverclyde, Renfrew and West Dunbartonshire was transferred to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Responsibility for Argyll was transferred to NHS Highland.
